Plans for Dingle's first distillery
Planning permission is currently being sought to replace the former Kerry Co-Op Creamery building with a distillery, which is said will cost in the region of €8 million to construct. The building, located on the Spa Road which leads on the Connor Pass, across the way from the Hillgrove Hotel, has been derelict for a number of years. Jerry O'Sullivan of Southbound Properties is behind the project which plans to establish a distillery, visitor centre, shop, tasting rooms, a bar and function room at the site.
