Renowned West Kerry artist Michael Flaherty will open two highly anticipated exhibitions this month which will run concurrently at the Greenlane Gallery in Paris and Dingle. Flaherty has been an intense observer of the land and seascapes of the Dingle Peninsula for over fifteen years, in particular it is the unique character of the area below Mount Brandon. This is where Flaherty grew up and still lives, and where he has produced the work for which he has become world-renowned. Working in layers of thick impasto his use of colour is bold, vibrant, daring and unconventional making the scene more intense and the sense of movement more vital. One of West Kerry’s true stars.
