A special homecoming celebration will be hosted in Sullivan's Pub, Garraí na dTor in Lispole tonight, (Friday June 19th) welcoming home new Dublin MEP, Joe Higgins, to his native village. Joe Higgins became the first Kerryman to be elected to the European Parliament following the June 5th Euro Elections, dramatically taking a seat in the tightly contested Dublin Constituency. It is a monumental achievement for the Socialist and former TD who, as gifted speaker and man of keen intellect, he is sure to shake things up on the continent. The celebration takes place in Sullivan's Pub, Garrai tonight at 9pm and all are welcome to attend.
